Here are some thoughts from past showcase artists about the value of being an official showcase artist:

"World of Bluegrass week served as the perfect platform for the Darrell Webb Band. We made great contacts, sealed endorsement deals and was given the perfect setting to showcase our new album Bloodline." - Darrell Webb, The Darrell Webb Band

“Performing the Showcase at IBMA could possibly be the most productive 25 min. gig you’ll ever play”. – Wayne Taylor, Wayne Taylor and Appaloosa

“The Boxcars’ showcase at IBMA’s 2010 World Of Bluegrass was a key stepping stone in the band’s progress toward filling up their calendar for the 2011 touring season. Not only were important booking relationships forged that week, but also important media contacts as well.” – Mike Drudge, Class Act Entertainment

“You can’t over emphasize the exposure that you receive as an official showcase artist. The overall package from the Showcase spot, the featured bio in the booklet, to the tradeshow booth, the showcase selection affords many opportunities to promote your band. The showcase gave us an opportunity to introduce the new line-up of The Chapmans as well as a chance to promote our new relationship with Compass Records.” - Jeremy Chapman, The Chapmans

“Being a showcase artist helped us advance a year or two ahead in our career by getting in front of all the folks, fans and promoters that come to IBMA. We also got great media attention from the ads, website posts and many videos that were taken while we were there. We did interview’s with Eddie Stubbs on WSM 650 AM, bluegrasscountry.org, Fox News in Nashville and Chris Jones with Sirius-XM. We took part in the DJ taping session with radio hosts around the world and also set up an article with Bluegrass Unlimited for 2010. It was an honor to be featured as a showcase band, be able to network and meet people all week and tell them of our music and what we have to offer.” - Darin and Brooke Aldridge

“Without IBMA and the World of Bluegrass conventions, we wouldn't have been able to introduce our music to the US in such a fun and helpful way. Thanks to IBMA and its events, we've made friends from all over the world and we've made good contacts in the music business that have helped us be who and where we are today." – Jens Koch, G2
