2011 Carolina Music Awards Announce Nominations for Donna Hughes, Lonesome River Band, and Nu-Blu

Nominated for the Carolina Music Awards Country / Bluegrass / Americana Group of the Year. This September, Lonesome River Band will celebrate their BIG 30th Anniversary entertaining audiences with their distinctive sound. LRB members have strong connections in the Carolinas. Mike Hartgrove makes his home in Albermarle, NC and Sammy Shelor was born in North Carolina.

Nominated for the Carolina Music AwardsCountry Female Vocalist of the Year. Trinity, NC based acclaimed singer-songwriter, Donna Hughes also received nominations in this category in 2009 and 2010. Donna is celebrating her current album release,"Hellos, Goodbyes, and Butterflies."

Nominated for the Carolina Music Awards Country / Bluegrass / Americana Group of the Year. Siler City, NC based bluegrass band, Nu-Blu, took home the 2010 Carolina Music Award in this same category. Congratulations! Pinecastle Records will release the band's new album this summer, so stay tuned for more announcements.
