Also on the public television taping on May 14th will be the high energy music of the Hillbilly Gypsies. This will be their second appearance on Song of the Mountains. This fine band from West Virginia blends bluegrass with old time music and great vocal harmonies.
The Stevens Family will also appear on the concert. The Stevens Family bring to the audience a dynamic live blend of traditional & contemporary bluegrass with a unique sound that can only be described as "THE STEVENS FAMILY". Their music is pure and honest and showcases some of the best in true blood harmonies and they are second to none in their ability to play their instruments. They are a truly musically gifted family.
North Carolina natives the Tone Blazers will round out this fine evening of entertainment at the Lincoln Theatre. ToneBlazers was formed in 2009 by three seasoned musicians who love the thrill, buzz and magic moments of playing and performing every type of music – from” Motown to Merle” The music also includes Bluegrass, Country and Americana. They have a laid back attitude but their sound pulses energy. And make no mistake – they’re serious about music, as the crowd’s response is enthusiastic!! Something for everyone!!!
