Bluegrass Artists Make NPR Listener's Best-of-the-Year (so far) List

Thousands of votes poured in from NPR Music listeners in their poll for the best music of the year (so far).

Three notable bluegrass artists/bands made the list of the top 100 according to NPR (National Public Radio) fans.

...Allison Krauss       Abigail Washburn     ...... Sarah Jarosz..........

Coming in at number 75, Rounder Records' Artist Abigail Washburn scored with her latest CD City of Refuge. 

A little higher on the charts, Sugar Hill Record's relative newcomer Sarah Jarosz made the list just missing out of the top 50 with a 69 ranking for her CD Follow Me Down.

Rounder Records got a double dose of excitement when the number 32 spot was claimed by Alison Krauss and Union Station for their first CD together in over 7 years; Paper Airplane. (Krauss released the 2007 collaboration CD, Raising Sand, with Robert Plant)
