News Tidbits from Rounder Artists

• Steve Martin will be appearing in the new feature length film, The Big Year due out on October 14th. Steve stars in the film with Jack Black and Owen Wilson. The movie is a comedy (surprise) about three men locked in a battle for the bird watching championship of North America. While on the movie set Steve wrote the title track to his latest album with The Steep Canyon Rangers, aptly named "Rare Bird Alert".
• The Steep Canyon Rangers are starting to record their new album slated for release in late March of 2012.
• In November Abigail Washburn will be touring China and Tibet along the famed Silk Road as part of a State Department sponsored tour bringing American culture to China and Tibet.
• Josh Williams and The SteelDrivers are both currently in the studio working on new albums for 2012.
