October 4, 2011 .........Elizabethtown singer songwriter, Mike Jones, was announced as a winner in the "Come Home to Bluegrass" Songwriting Contest in honor of the celebration of Bill Monroe's 100th birthday. Monroe is widely known as the "Father of Bluegrass Music" and was born in Rosine,KY. Jones sang his winning song, "The Ghost of Mr. Bill" in Rosine on Sunday, September 11, 2011 and at the Vine Grove Bluegrass Festival in honor of Monroe. He performed with Blue River band, the 2008 SPBGMA International Band Champion.
