Forty years ago – on June 2, 1973 - Robin and Linda stood in front of 40 or 50 friends and family in the chapel of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN and were pronounced husband and wife by Robin's father.
After the ceremony, fun reared its ugly head,” Robin says “as we had a big reception that went on for hours in the side yard of some friends' house on
Ashwood Avenue.
So far, the leap of faith and commitment made by those two (then)young people on a hot June summer afternoon has worked out.
“What an interesting ride it has been - and continues to be,” the couple wrote to their fans in their regular newsletter. “We celebrated yesterday by going to a movie in Charlottesville, VA with some friends. If ‘Mud’ comes to your town, don't miss it. It's a fine flick. We'll definitely see it again sometime.”
