The Churchmen Celebrate 25 Years!

It’s hard for Keith Clark to believe that  The Churchmen were formed 25 years ago when the band began singing in local churches. 

For Clark, a founding member of The Churchmen who plays bass and sings lead and harmony vocals, it has been one great ride.

Shortly after the band was formed in 1989 they were joined by Gerald Harbour who also sings lead and harmony and plays the mandolin for the group.  They have since added David Guthrie (vocals and guitar), and Carroll Arnn (vocals, banjo, fiddle and guitar).

With a talented group like this, it’s no wonder they frequently perform to sold-out crowds and have maintained a strong following over the years.  This group prides itself on its Southern Gospel style, tight four part harmony and top-notch bluegrass instrumentation.      
    
They are four Christian men who each feel they are called of God into their music ministry - and minister they do!  It’s hard not to feel good when you hear these fine musicians play and one can tell they truly have gifts from God.      
       
The Churchmen have 7 albums to their credit with the most recent Mercy Road that was released on Mountain Fever Records last year.  Mark Hodges, owner of Mountain Fever Records, is delighted to have The Churchmen as part of the Mountain Fever family and sees them as a valuable part of his label and bluegrass music.
  
The Churchmen have many accolades and reasons to brag, but among the most notable is their nominations for two Dove awards for Bluegrass Album of the Year and Bluegrass Song of the Year.  Each band member has his own honors that can easily stand on their own, but when they perform together, they make one outstanding group!
