The Snyder Family Band has signed a multi-year recording contract with major Bluegrass label Mountain Home Music Company in anticipation of their 2015 release.
This sensational family trio, made up of Zeb, Samantha, and Bud Snyder, is known on the Bluegrass scene for playing ability that exceeds their years. Siblings Zeb and Samantha recently caught the attention of the greater acoustic world with their musical prowess as spotlighted on New Primitive, the recent solo project from Mandolin Master and nine-time IBMA Mandolin Player of the Year winner Adam Steffey.
They are currently in the studio working with producer Tim Surrett (Balsam Range) on their upcoming release. The recording includes original material that is interesting, intricate, and complex, as well as creative cover versions of songs from southern rock artists Lynyrd Skynyrd and Dickie Betts (Allman Brothers Band).
With Zeb Snyder on guitar and mandolin and vocals, Samantha Snyder on fiddle, mandolin and vocals, and Bud Snyder on bass, the project promises sophisticated and powerful musicianship that deserves to be compared to Nickel Creek.
“We are really excited about having this powerful trio join the Mountain Home family,” said Marketing Director Ty Gilpin. “Everyone has just been blown away by what they are recording in the studio. I would start to say that it is impressive to hear what they can do at their age but the truth is, it’s impressive at any age. They are extremely advanced players with great vocal power, excellent songwriting and truly interesting musical ideas.”
Look for the Snyder Family Band’s first release on Mountain Home in early 2015.
