Heather Berry and husband Tony Mabe are living the dream. The husband and wife duo along with pal Jamie Collins on bass have formed The Heather Berry & Tony Mabe Show.
Their debut CD is set to be released on February 14th.
Half-way around the world in Australia, one of the nicest people on the planet, Mr. Geoff Morris joined in the scheme to have him host the world premier of the HB&TMS record. It was presented during the second hour of his show on World Wide Bluegrass.com this past Monday night. According to Mountain Fever Records’ press release, the chat room was packed with people and listeners from around the world enjoyed not only the music but also an interview that Geoff had recorded this past year after he ran into Heather and Tony at IBMA in Nashville.
Heather has had quite a bit of good fortune come her way of late. She has caught the ear of some pretty big names in the music business. She and Tony performed for Tom T. Hall when he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Some of you may have heard the story of Dailey and Vincent hearing her sing and then inviting her to join them on the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville. So, it only made sense that Heather would perform two of Tom T.'s songs on this new recording and also invite Darrin Vincent to join her on another song.
Here is what a few people have said about this fine group.
“Heather Berry’s pure, angelic voice brought us to our knees the first time we heard her sing. She has been uniquely blessed with a pure talent and love for acoustic roots music that will endear anyone who hears her.” ~ Laura & John Carter Cash
“In the music business, we spend a lot of time talking about purity, beauty, tone, pitch and heart. Then Heather Berry sings and we just shut up and listen.” ~ Peter Cooper, Senior Music Writer, The Tennessean, Americana artist, Grammy nominee
“Her guitar and autoharp playing and singing is so Carter Family like she should’ve been born a Carter. As far as I’m concerned she is one.” ~Dale Jett, son of Janette Carter, grandson of Sara & AP Carter
“I’m hoping to see more of Heather Berry & Tony in the Americana genre.” ~Joyce Ziehli, Publisher, Americana Gazette
“She’s pure good; an engineer’s dream.” ~ Rebekah Long, Recording Engineer
We’re proud of you Heather & Tony. Thanks for recording our songs. Walk Slow! ~ Dixie Hall
The CD will be available for sale on the artists website at http://www.heatherberrymusic.com
and all the regular retail stores and digital download sites like iTunes, Amazon.com and cdbaby.
