“I was stunned to learn there are around 70,000 homeless veterans in this country, and over 600 in northern Michigan, alone." Here was the inspiration for "Homeless of the Brave," an emotional and powerful track sung by the band's lead singer Missy Armstrong, on Detour's new album, *A Better Place,* which was released last month.

We attended an unofficial release party for this CD, and got it on the first day it was available. The Band donated their time for a worthy cause, Cystic Fibrosis research, and the audience was very appreciative of their efforts.
Been listening to the disk every since, it's a good one.
Detour is a great combianation of talented musicians and beautifully harmonic vocals. They are a band who can "hold their own" with any band...bluegrass and the top country artists out there today!
