Greetings from Ireland!

Well, here we are, day 3 of the tour, heading to Manorhamilton for a concert at the Glens Centre. We started off in Cookstown, at the Red Room, a lovely house concert organized by a great family, fans of bluegrass and old time music. Here's a clip from that night:

Since the next day we only had a half hour drive to Omagh, we decided to play tourists and went up to visit the Giant's Causeway; an impressive area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption, or as the legend goes, a bridge connecting Ireland and Scotland, built by giant Irish warrior Finn McCool and destroyed by his Scottish counterpart Benandonner. And since we were so close to Bushmills, a visit to the distillery was mandatory ! We got to see how the delicious gold liquid was made from the grain to the bottling, with a complimentary glass of a 12 year special reserve at the end of the tour. We then headed to Omagh, where we were greeted by Mark McCausland, from the Lost Brothers (http://thelostbrothersband.com/) He had contacted us a few weeks ago, just in time when we were looking all over to fill the few open dates on the calendar. A good proper bar gig at the McCann's bar, a great rowdy crowd and a well deserved night's rest made our stay in Omagh fantastic!

The great thing about this tour is that our newest member, Reeb Willms, is joining us for the first time in this part of the world, along with her father Norm! So many great sights to see, friends to meet and old buddies to catch up with. Well, we gotta go! More to come soon!
