Commemorating Band’s 30th Anniversary
One of bluegrass music’s favorite groups, LONESOME RIVER BAND debuted songs from their CHRONOLOGY VOLUME TWO album last weekend in front of 10,000 attendees of the popular RudyFest Festival in Kentucky. The album officially releases next Tuesday, July 3, 2012 on Rural Rhythm Records and is the second of three 8 song EPS releasing this year commemorating LONESOME RIVER BAND’s 30th anniversary.
Today’s new single release, "I Barely Beat The Daylight In" from CHRONOLOGY, VOLUME TWO comes right on the heels of their current chart single, “Close the Door Lightly When You Go” from CHRONOLOGY, VOLUME ONE.

LONESOME RIVER BAND includes the talents of BRANDON RICKMAN (Guitar and Lead & Harmonoy Vocals); MIKE HARGROVE (fiddle); BARRY REED (Upright Bass and Harmony Vocals); RANDY JONES (Mandolin and Lead & Harmony Vocals), and led by Virginia Country Music Hall of Famer and multi-award winning IBMA Banjo Player of the Year winner, SAMMY SHELOR. Last November, Shelor earned yet another award for his talents when he and the band appeared with special guest, STEVE MARTIN on The Late Show with David Letterman where he was presented The Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass followed by a performance with Lonesome River Band and Steve Martin.
