Visitors to the NationalBluegrass.com website who click on the “NEWS” tab on the site's menu will see our familiar Prescription Bluegrass Blog logo.
Last month we told you about a new website dedicated to bluegrass that we'd discovered thanks to the Gold Sisters and the B.O.R.N. Award for which they were in the running.
Now there’s more news to tell you about.
In a partnership agreement with the site's owner, John Lockaby, we've worked out a system where National Bluegrass can get the pictures and summaries of all of the news stories featured on Prescription Bluegrass. If readers want more, the link at the bottom of each story will take them directly to this blog's dedicated page for that specific story.
Lockaby said, “I'd doesn't make sense for us to duplicate what is already there and this gives us the time to focus on the other aspects of our site.”
NationalBluegrass.com is a community website designed to be able to find bluegrass events near where the reader resides or wishes to visit. Artists, venues, and others can promote their events for free. The site also offers a premium package - for a nominal $10 a year, artists and venues can get a dedicated page about them, with link, pic, and personal schedule.
Another feature of the site - “Growing Up Bluegrass” spotlights different youth who've made significant achievements in their music.
A nation-wide calendar by region, a performers list, CD Reviews and a special monthly award to help emerging artists gain exposure are all part of this growing site. Take a look but most importantly take advantage of the resource and post your events or register your band.
