Junior Sisk To Be Inducted into Virginia Music Hall of Fame

Image634799543005346075Junior Sisk will be inducted into the Virginia Music Hall of Fame during the Virginia Folk Music Association’s 13th Annual Jumpin’ Bluegrass Festival held September 13-16, 2012 at the Chesterfield, Virginia County Fairgrounds. Junior joins a long list of previous Hall of Fame members including Roy Clark, Mother Mabelle Carter, Mac Wiseman, The Statler Brothers, Patsy Cline, Tony Rice, Bill Yates, Larry Stephenson and Sammy Shelor.

Junior will receive his Hall of Fame Honor on Friday, September 13th and will take the stage with his band, Ramblers Choice for what is sure to be a memorable performance.

The International Bluegrass Music Association has announced their Awards Press Conference will take place on Wednesday, August 15th.  Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice have been invited to kick off the event with a performance of several songs from their latest CD, The Heart Of A Song.

The press conference serves to announce the final nominees for this year's IBMA Awards and will take place at the Loveless Barn in Nashville, TN. The press conference begins at 5:00pm CST and will be broadcast live on SiriusXM's Bluegrass Junction. You may also view in it online through the band’s Facebook page on LiveStream. The nominees will be announced by Sonya Isaacs and Bradley Walker.

Music City Roots

JS&RC will be making their very first appearance on Music City Roots this month. Right after the IBMA Awards Press Conference, Music City Roots will be hosting a special all-bluegrass lineup that includes Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Lonesome River Band, and The Isaacs.   If you can't make it in person to the Loveless Barn in Nashville, TN on August 15th at 7:00pm you can view the entire program online at LiveStream.
