With the passing of Huck Finn Founder and promoter Don Tucker, speculation as to the continuation of the festival has been on everyone’s mind.
Don Tucker passed away after a massive stroke in October of 2012, leaving the festival and it’s many fans in the lurch. He’d already made public statements about either moving the festival or cancelling it due to a breakdown in negotiations with the venue.
From the stage at the Blythe, California festival Don’s widow, Barbara Tucker told the crowd last weekend that the family has decided to at least continue with the Huck Finn festival this year to see if they can do it. She also let everyone know that the festival will be a a new site this year.
The 2013 Huck Finn Jubilee will be held at the Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in Ontario, California – less than 50 miles from the old location in Victorville (see map).
