Breaking Grass has announced double honors for the man holding down their fiddle position.
First, Tyler White just recently took the first place price in the state of Mississippi’s Fiddle Championship. The contest was held in New Albany, MS last Saturday, May 18th.
Tyler was also selected as Valedictorian of his graduating class. Needless to say the band has a lot of pride in this young man.

When Tyler White begged his family for a fiddle after attending the Dixie Stampede at the age of three, who knew he would practically be a virtuoso by the age of 17?
After giving in to his request two years later, then enrolling him in lessons at the age of 7, Tyler has made it his mission to achieve success on his instrument of choice. Fiddle masters such as Stuart Duncan, Bobby Hicks, and Michael Cleveland can be credited for inspiring Tyler resulting in his winning the Mississippi, Alabama, and West Tennessee Junior Fiddle Championships.
He has also participated in the "Kids On Bluegrass" program with the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) for the past 7 years.
When he doesn't have a fiddle in his hands, the Jumpertown, Mississippi, resident spends his time hunting, fishing, and dreaming of fast cars.
