Bluegrass singer songwriter Donna Ulisse will be the featured guest of Mountain Heart on their "Guest Artist Tuesday" WSM 650-AM radio show on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., central time.
The show will be a retrospective of Donna's career from her days as one of Nashville's busiest demo singers, then to her time on Atlantic Records and finally to her success, beginning in 2007, as a bluegrass recording artist and songwriter.
Journalist Edward Morris has now dubbed her as "one of the most commanding voices in bluegrass music".
With "Showin' My Roots", her 8th career album being released on October 15, 2013, being nominated as the International Bluegrass Music Association's Songwriter of the Year for the past two years in a row and her songs being recorded by Claire Lynch, Darin & Brooke Aldridge, Nu-Blu, The Bankesters and also a cut on the new Del McCoury Band's release, "The Streets of Baltimore", there will certainly be plenty of ground to cover.
