Bluegrass Radio Personality Honored

CAROL BEAUGARD[9]While the rest of the bluegrass world was celebrating the end of IBMA's WIDE OPEN BLUEGRASS in Raleigh, NC, Bluegrass Air Personality Carol Beaugard was presented with the Brown Jug Award at the 14th Annual Park Slope Bluegrass & Old-Time Jamboree recognizing her contributions to bluegrass in the northeast.

Carol says, “I was humbled to join the ranks of former recipients Stephanie P. Ledgin, Bill Knowlton, Doug Tuchman and more. It was indeed a great honor.”

Carol Beaugard is the host of  Lonesome Pine RFD from WFDU-FM, Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck New Jersey. Since 1984, Carol has gained a devoted audience and is recognized as the authoritative voice of bluegrass and country music in the NY Metropolitan area.

Carol’s broadcast credits include on-air work with ABC-TV, WGBH-FM, WMCA-AM, Jukebox Radio, WMTR-AM, WCTC-AM and WVNJ-AM. She is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston, MA, and holds a Bachelor of Science and Speech.
