Organic Records welcomes a new group to its stable of unique and genre-defying artists.
Asheville-based trio Red June recently entered into a partnership with the label in anticipation of the group’s third release.
Red June is a powerful acoustic trio that is making waves with their dynamic yet refined sound that features striking three-part harmonies, tasteful instrumental work, and honest, soulful songwriting that seamlessly blends bluegrass, country and roots rock sensibilities.
"We're really excited to begin this partnership with Organic Records!” says vocalist and multi-instrumentalist John Cloyd Miller. “The folks at Organic have a great vision. They also have a deep understanding and respect for tradition while being unafraid to foster new sounds and ideas for all kinds of audiences. John Cloyd Miller was the recipient of the 2013 Chris Austin Songwriting competition at MerleFest with his song “Cloud Of Dust”
Red June enters the studio in December at Crossroads Studios in Arden, NC to begin work on the new project, due out in Spring 2014.
The group will be hosting and performing an event at the Grey Eagle in Asheville, NC on November 16th to promote the new release, celebrate the band’s five year anniversary and offer fans a sneak peek at the album’s new and original material.
