Tickets for Saturday, Sept. 28 at IBMA’s Wide Open Bluegrass Festival in Raleigh, NC have been SOLD OUT !

The concerts for both days will take place at Raleigh, North Carolina’s Red Hat Amphitheater and the Raleigh Convention Center.
The two-day Wide Open Bluegrass Festival is part of IBMA’s World of Bluegrass 2013 event: bluegrass music’s annual industry gathering and family reunion. Held for the first time in Raleigh, World of Bluegrass 2013 runs from September 24-28.The International Bluegrass Music Association – IBMA – is the professional trade organization for the global bluegrass music community.
The ticketed portion of the weekend’s Wide Open Bluegrass Festival is just one of several ways that music fans can experience bluegrass during next week’s World of Bluegrass event. In addition to the free StreetFest portion of weekend festival, tickets are going fast for the following events:
Bluegrass Ramble: Fans can experience these after-hour showcases all week, from Tuesday-Saturday evenings, in six venues throughout downtown Raleigh, starting at 6 pm on Tues/Wed and 10 pm Thurs/Fri/Sat, and ending at 2 am. The Bluegrass Ramble showcases will be held at The Lincoln Theatre, Long View Center, Pour House Music Hall, Tir Na Nog, Kings, The Architect Bar & Social Club. While the public can pay per showcase at each venue as space is available, a Bluegrass Ramble showcase pass, which allows entry into all shows all week, is available for purchase.
The International Bluegrass Awards show: This highly anticipated Awards show will be held in Raleigh’s historic Memorial Auditorium in the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, Sept. 26; NC’s own Steep Canyon Rangers will host the event. Performers that evening include all five of 2013’s “Entertainer of the Year” nominees - Balsam Range, Blue Highway, Dailey &Vincent, The Gibson Brothers and The Del McCoury Band - as well as Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out and many others.
