Bluegrass band Newtown and worldwidebluegrass.com are proud to announce a special program airing live on Friday, November 1st from 8 – 10 PM Eastern.
This will be the first show of its kind on the radio station since it began 7 years ago.Kentucky based Bluegrass group Newtown is releasing their first CD, “Time Machine”, on Pisgah Ridge Records, a subsidiary of Mountain Home Records. Their CD Release Party will be broadcast live from Natasha’s Bistro in Lexington Kentucky over Worldwide Bluegrass.
The idea comes from Newtown’s banjo player Jr. Williams who asked if something like this could be possible and with bassist Terry Poirier heavily involved with the station, a big yes was the answer to that question.
Folks from around the world will get the entire album performed with older favorites mixed in for the second half of the show.
“This will give Newtown fans who are not able to attend the show in person, a chance to listen in online and enjoy it from home,” said the group’s bass player and broadcaster, Terry Poirier.
The CD will be released for sale to the public on Tuesday, November 5th, 2013. Pre-orders for both downloads and CDs is enabled now at Crossroads.com, where lengthy audio samples from all ten tracks can be heard.
