Leadership Bluegrass Application Deadline Approaches!

Freelance writer and journalist Shannon Turner, a Leadership Bluegrass 2013 graduate, said she will always value being a part of the class.  “Leadership Bluegrass is an invaluable program of learning, growth, and even transformation. You leave with a renewed energy and determination to spread the gospel of bluegrass music,” Turner said.

The Bluegrass Situation’s Amy Reitnouer, who was also a participant agreed, saying, “I was awed by the fellow classmates, network of alumni, and incredible presenters.”Now in its 14th year with more than 300 alumni, Leadership Music is an intensive three-day program of advanced level, interactive learning experiences that invites participants to examine the challenges and opportunities facing our music, along with related leadership issues.

The purpose of the Leadership Bluegrass program is to pull together a cross section of people with exhibited or potential leadership qualities into a network of learning and communication.

Leadership Bluegrass 2012, hosted March 8-10 at BMI and Bone McAllester Norton PLLC in Nashville, Tennessee, was facilitated by Trisha Tubbs. 

Each year the individuals selected to participate in Leadership Bluegrass represent a cross section of current and future leaders from various facets of the industry, as well as diverse regions of the country and world.

  Every year IBMA's Leadership Bluegrass program brings together a cross section of music industry professionals to take an intensive look into the future challenges and opportunities our music faces, and our next class is slated for Thursday, - Saturday, March 8-10, 2012, in Nashville, Tennessee. Those interested in participating are encouraged to apply for a limited number of openings.
