Monroeville's Debut Single is FREE to Fans!
This is going to be a busy week for Monroeville, who have officially launched their new record label, Monroeville Records, LLC and the debut single, “Country Blues,” is being released today, March 22nd.
The team has been working tirelessly to build a solid structure from the ground up to handle whatever can be thrown at it. Besides forming articles and tackling the business plans, the band has been enjoying some extremely creative sessions in the studio with Grammy nominated producer Jim VanCleve and Grammy award winning engineer David Hall. The atmosphere has been nothing less than energetic and productive.
I have really been enjoying the creative process working on this project with Monroeville. There is a real strong sense of trust and a synergy that seems to keep things positively charged, loose, and fun. Everybody is relaxed, but determined to make the best music we possibly can. I think we’ve discovered some very unique group sounds together in the studio, something dynamic and organic. It’s all happened very naturally. Their willingness to take chances coupled with an incredibly mature “one for all, all for one” mentality has made producing these guys on their debut project an absolute pleasure! The entire EP has some amazing material which is evident from the list of contributing songwriters which includes Chris Stapleton, Skip Ewing, and Monroeville’s own Daniel Salyer. This first single is just a taste of what the band will offer in the ensuing weeks.
We consciously selected “Country Blues” because of several reasons. 1. We wanted to be able to give our first song away to our fans, and no song is easier to do this with than a traditional or public domain one. 2. We wanted to associate ourselves with some of the old “mountain” style sounds that influence acoustic/bluegrass so much. 3. We wanted to step out on our own and show just what we are capable of.
