NEW RIVER LINE's New Release is Benefit for Band Member Lost in Tragic Accident!

"I’m Moving On"
is the third Kindred Records  release by New River Line, and the last studio recording of reso-guitarist Jerry Wayne Chaney, who was killed in a tragic accident during the final production of this project.

New River Line project for Jerry Wayne Chaney Memorial Scholarship
“When we started this record over two years ago, none of us had any idea of the tragic loss that we would all suffer before it was even completed. On June 10th, 2010, we lost Jerry in a horrific automobile accident near his home in Irvine, at the young age of just 47 years. Jerry was such an influential person and ambassador of good will, through music, and in life. His music touched so many, but his good will, love for his fellow mankind as well as the steadfast relationship he maintained with his God, those he knew, those he didn't know, that boyish grin, and a extended hand offered countless times to a total stranger, that was his vessel of good will. This album is a tribute to his musical legacy, and he will always remain a part of the music we are able to create going forward. His influence will always resonate throughout our music and our lives, just like the heartfelt notes that only he could summon from his beloved Sheerhorn Resonator Guitar. Through Kindred Records sales contributions to the Jerry Wayne Chaney Memorial Music Scholarship Fund will help a number of young folks follow their musical dreams for years and years to come. I think the scholarship fund was the most wonderful thing that Jerry's family could have possibly done to commemorate his musical accomplishments, but to also help others who share his love of music, while preserving the legacy of a wonderful musician, and a truly wonderful human being. If there is indeed music in Heaven, and I for one believe this to be true, you can rest assured that he's right in the middle of it, smiling faces all around. Words cannot describe how he will be missed by so many. Rest In Peace Flub.”

The new project contains 12 tracks of original material mostly written by guitarist Dave Carroll, with one co-written with mandolin player Adam Collinsworth and an instrumental written by banjo player Johnny Branham. Resonphonic guitarist Jerry Wayne Chaney sings lead on a couple tracks, including the title track “I’m Movin On”, with his wife Kim Chaney contributing backup vocals on one track, “Forever Till The End”.

"I'm Movin On" was recorded at Jack’s Trax Studios in Paintsville, KY, and produced by Dave Carroll, engineered by Jack Priode, mixed and mastered by Ron Stewart.

Kindred Records and Jerry Wayne Chaney Memorial Music Scholarship Fund, Inc. are both pleased and grateful to New River Line for their generous gift of Jerry’s last project "I’m Movin On". The title track single will be released to radio early in 2011 and the project will soon be available on the NRL website and other locations.

This recording is terrific! It has all of the elements needed to make it a hit in the music world. Great instrumentation and singing by the guys, great songs, great studio sound, and not to mention that David Carroll is quickly becoming one of the finest songwriter’s in our business as well. Good job fellows! This CD is a must for anyone’s collection!”-Steve Dilling, Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out March 2011
