Saturday, August 6th. Blue Highway who is and has been a top notch touring bluegrass band for over 15 years will be making their second appearance on this nationally syndicated public television program which is now taping season 7 of the long running concert series.
“We are glad to have Blue Highway coming back to tape our show” states Tim White the Song of the Mountains executive coordinator and host. “All of us with the show are excited to have bands of this caliber on our program and these guys are from right here in our region which makes this concert even more special.”Blue Highway has a high-energy show that includes some of the “best of the best” musicians and singers in the world of bluegrass music. They offer many original tunes in their repertoire as well as some inspiring gospel tunes. Blue Highway to say the least is a definite crowd pleaser wherever they perform.
Also sharing the stage at the Lincoln Theatre on August 6th will be the Virginia based and legendary Jonny & the Jam Busters. With accolades too numerous to mention Song of the Mountains is excited to have this renowned group on the stage as well. Rounding out this Song of the Mountains concert will be the great bluegrass music of West Virginia based Buck and Company and Tennessee based the Judge Talford Band.
This concert promises to be an excellent showcase of bluegrass and bluegrass gospel music!
Song of the Mountains features bluegrass, old time, Celtic and Americana Music and is currently airing on over 190 Public Television outlets across the United States. Tim White hosts the series.
