Music City Roots Mentioned in Iconic Nationally Syndicated Comic Strip “Nancy”

Music City Roots (MCR) made its national comic strip debut yesterday, November 14, 2011 in the long running American daily and Sunday comic strip Nancy.
 
The character of Nancy, a precocious eight-year-old, first appeared in the strip Fritzi Ritz on January 2, 1933. Soon Fritzi's niece Nancy dominated the daily strip, which was retitled Nancy in 1938. Today Nancy is written and drawn by Brad and Guy Gilchrist who continue to regurlarly feature Nancy's aunt Fritzi. In the current version of Nancy, Fritzi works as a music reviewer and is often seen wearing T-shirts of musical acts, especially country performers.
The November 14 strip finds Nancy's aunt Fritzi giving a shout out to Music City Roots.
