Former Spring Creek Banjo Player Joins Blue Canyon Boys!

Image634615476968170000The Blue Canyon Boys are proud to announce the addition of the award-winning Chris Elliott on banjo and vocals. As a founding member of the Spring Creek Bluegrass Band, Chris has spent the past seven years travelling and performing at many of the country’s top bluegrass festivals and solidifying his place in the banjo world. “I am honored to be joining the Blue Canyon Boys. It will be a great vehicle for my banjo playing and they’re a great bunch of guys. I’m looking forward to playing some very exciting bluegrass!”

The Blue Canyon Boys, based in Denver, Colorado, have been performing together since 2002 performing across the United States as well as Canada and Malaysia. First place winners of the 2008 Telluride band contest, the Boys have released four well received CDs that have garnered heavy airplay across the country and around the world. In 2011 the Blue Canyon Boys were selected to represent the United States and bluegrass music at the 14th annual Rainforest World Music Festival in Sarawak, Malaysia on the island of Borneo, which has been rated in the top 25 International Festivals by Songlines Magazine. National Geographic had this to say about their performance:
