Former National Flatpicking Guitar champion Peter McLaughlin and Chris Brashear who have recorded, performed and written songs together since 1992 will be hosting a special 2-hour Songwriting workshop in Tucson this weekend.
The event is sponsored by Desert Bluegrass Association, this Saturday, February 11 from 2:00 to 4:00 at the 17th Street Market in Tucson.
The duo will also touch on singing duet harmonies according to the association’s flyer.
The 17th Street Market is a family-owned Tucson business celebrating their 18th year. They sell only top quality groceries and produce and also have the largest selection of Seafood and Organic Produce in town. If you’ve never been to The Market, you’re in for a treat.
What will surprise you? Inside 17th Street Market, you’ll find a really cool Music Shop - 17th Street Music, Musical Instruments and CD’s too.
17th Street Music – A music store that stocks guitars, drums, percussion, hundreds of CDs, and all types of world musical instruments and accessories. The store carries a full line of acoustic and electric guitars and basses, drums and percussion, flutes, harmonicas, world musical instruments, strings, picks, accessories and a lot of other interesting stuff.
17th Street Market is located in Tucson’s Warehouse district, just East of Downtown.
Because of the Railroad tracks, they’re a little hard to find.
Take a look at their homemade video (http://www.seventeenthstreetmarket.com/17th_Street_Market/Location.html), or call them at 792.2588 and they’ll be happy to provide directions.
