“The Porchlight Sessions”, the documentary about bluegrass directed by Anna Schwaber has been seeking donations from fans and others in the world-wide community in order to finish the project.
Just a few short weeks ago it looked as if they had a long way to go. A quick check today of their Kickstarter fundraising page shows that with almost a full day remaining on their timeline, they have exceeded the $60.000 needed.
The way the Kickstarter campaigns work, if the goal had not been met by the established deadline, none of the pledged amounts would have been received.
These finishing funds will allow the producers to license and restore archival footage, photographs, and music, to create a documentary that will serve as a great resource to Bluegrass fans.
“With your pledges, we will be able to bring this film, the music, and the Bluegrass legacy to millions of homes across the world,” said Anna Schwaber in a last minute push just a few days ago.
