Sam Bush pioneered a new genre of music and inspired some of the world’s most famous bands and accomplished musicians — yet for countless potential fans, the “Father of Newgrass” remains an unknown legend.
Revival: The Sam Bush Story is a new music documentary from See Forever Entertainment and Wannabe Films. Revival, co-directed by Kris Wheeler and Wayne Franklin, makes its World Premiere April 21st at the Nashville Film Festival.
This hour long documentary is the story of Ralph Epperson growing up in the 1920s and 30s the son of tobacco farmers in the hills of Southwestern Virginia/Northwestern North Carolina.
The film is directed by Jordan Nance and produced by Beth Crookham and will be released on September 28th, 2013 at the North Carolina Bluegrass Pavilion.

“The Porchlight Sessions”, the documentary about bluegrass directed by Anna Schwaber has been seeking donations from fans and others in the world-wide community in order to finish the project.
Just a few short weeks ago it looked as if they had a long way to go. A quick check today of their Kickstarter fundraising page shows that with almost a full day remaining on their timeline, they have exceeded the $60.000 needed.
The Porchlight Sessions feature-length Bluegrass music documentary directed by Anna Schwaber, has ten days left to reach its crowd-source funding target of $60,000. UK-based banjo retailer Banjos Direct, who are associate producers and sponsors of the film are urging Bluegrass fans everywhere to help the film's makers complete their project by pledging support on the Kickstarter funding site.The project has raised over $35,000 but has only ten days to complete the process.

Now a film documentary in progress about this Bluegrass Icon is seeking donations to finish the film. A Kickstarter® fundraising campaign has been launched by the film’s producer, Christine Funk.
The upcoming late 2012 documentary, The Tao of Bluegrass, weaves together what Peter learned from Bill Monroe and how the spiritual side of Peter has created space to absorb other cultures creating new sounds. Musicians he has played with over the years will be talking about his talent for songwriting, singing and guitar playing.

Last of the Breed: The Dave Evans Story
Traditional bluegrass fans have long recognized Dave Evans for what he is: a living legend. Dave is one of the few true triple threats in the genre - a talented singer, instrumentalist, and songwriter. Alison Krauss has cited him as one of her biggest inspirations.
But while his contemporaries have seen crossover success with more mainstream audiences on the heels of O Brother Where Art Thou? and the growth of the IBMA, Dave remains largely unknown to wider listeners.
Red Line Studios film company is currently producing a documentary about the legendary bluegrass musician and Rebel Records recording artist Dave Evans, working with Tom T. Hall and others in the bluegrass and country music communities to bring the project to life. This is a non-profit film, and with that, we are reaching out to bluegrass fans world-wide for support.
The Last of the Breed tells Dave's amazing story of music, hardship, freedom, civil rights, redemption, and destiny. In association with The Kanawha Gateway Heritage Area and Fractured Atlas, Red Line Studios is reaching out to the bluegrass community for financial support. As every dollar counts we have set no minimum donation amount. And as a token of our thanks we will be giving away exclusive gifts to supporters of the film.
