Congratulations to the Bankesters, winners of the current B.O.R.N. award from NationalBluegrass.com.
There’s a new competition every month where five emerging bluegrass bands try for the most votes from fans and the public.
The winning band is then eligible for the annual run-off for the grand prize. Find out more about B.O.R.N.
The Bankesters are the family band of Phil and Dorene Bankester. The band is headed by Phil and Dorene, both on guitar Daughters Melissa Triplett on bass, Emily on fiddle, and Alysha on mandolin. Melissa’s husband Kyle rounds out the group on banjo.
