Bluegrass At The White House!

SIERRA HULL TO PERFORM WITH ALISON KRAUSS AND DAN TYMINSKI AT THE WHITE HOUSE PART OF PBS’S EMMY AWARD-NOMINATED SERIES “IN PERFORMANCE AT THE WHITE HOUSE,” AIRING NOVEMBER 23
20-year old mandolin virtuoso and Rounder recording artist Sierra Hull will be performing with label mates Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski as part of “Country Music: In Performance at the White House” –  a PBS music special in the East Room of the White House. 

President and Mrs. Obama will host the event tonight, November 21, in celebration of Country music.  Other performers include Lauren Alaina, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Kris Kristofferson, Lyle Lovett, Darius Rucker and James Taylor.

Me And Paul Revere - New Song From Steve Martin.

We reported to you at the end of May about a repeat appearance at the White House for Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers. In Honor of the U.S. Independence Day Holiday in which Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers will make their special appearance at the White House Martin wrote a new song for the occasion entitled: "Me And Paul Revere."  The song tells the tale from the horses perspective.

Prescription Bluegrass will broadcast the new song beginning with the next program that ships to affiliate radio stations on Friday, June 10th and airs between June 11th and June 17th.  Click here for a list of stations and times.

Steep Canyon Rangers and Steve Martin Head for the White House - AGAIN!

The Associated Press is reporting bluegrass will be a part of the Capitol Fourth celebration.  Comedian Steve Martin will play a show with The Steep Canyon Rangers in Washington D.C. for the 4th of July concert “A Capitol Fourth” on the White House’s west lawn. During the event, Martin and his group will play a new song titled “Me and Paul Revere,” in celebration of the patriot who was a messenger during the battle of Lexington and Concord.

The Rangers and Martin were just at White House earlier this month for a special poetry gathering.
