Prescription Bluegrass Gets NU-BLU Exclusive!

Prescription Bluegrass Radio is honored to be chosen by Nu-Blu to be the first radio program to air their new single "Other Woman's Blues".   The song will be available to all radio stations next week but Prescription Bluegrass was given an advance copy and will treat listeners beginning this Saturday, June 11th.

The song, "Other Woman's Blues", is an answer to "Jolene" a song that helped to launch the career of Dolly Parton in 1973.   "Jolene", written by Dolly, tells the tale of a housewife confronting a voluptuous seductress who she believes is trying to steal away her husband and begging her "please don't take my man".

More than 30 years later Nu-Blu's song, "Other Woman's Blues," gives us a picture from the other woman's point of view.  In an apology "letter" written to Dolly, the song says  "I'm not askin' for forgiveness...woman to woman maybe you can understand, I wish to God I didn't love that man"...  "I'm so tired of standing in the other woman's shoes, singing the other woman's blues."

Prescription Bluegrass Radio will feature the song on the current program which will air on affiliate stations beginning Saturday June 11 through Friday, June 17.   Click Here for a list of stations and times.
