Tom Johnson Camping Center to Host North Carolina State Bluegrass Festival

Three Days and Nineteen Bands

Tom Johnson Camping Center will host the 37th Annual North Carolina State Bluegrass Festival from August 18 thru August 20, 2011 showcasing nineteen bands over three days.
Image634490873399100000Beginning at Noon on Thursday, August 18th, bands will perform daily, some with two performances each day. Tom Johnson Camping Center is hosting the North Carolina State Bluegrass Festival for the second consecutive year.

"Our Rally Park was designed for large events such as the Bluegrass Festival and our free Annual Customer Appreciation BBQ which occurs each September," said Gary Stroud, Vice President. "We routinely host large rally groups accommodating hundreds of RVs and thousands of participants."


The NC State Bluegrass Festival draws some of the largest names in the industry including Ralph Stanley &The Clinch Mountain Boys, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and many more. Thousands are expected to attend this family oriented event.


"The Rally Park pavilion can seat over two thousand and there are extensive areas for lawn seating. With over 470 RV sites in the Rally Park and an additional 66 sites in our campground, plus the onsite cafe and over 22 years of hosting experience, we are well equipped to handle events such as the Bluegrass Festival," said Stroud.
