Ralph and Carter Stanley to be inducted into Old Time Country Hall of Fame!
"Thirty-six years is one long piece of time," Bob Everhart says of the festival in Iowa that he has been doing for 36 years. "We started this in 1976, and we are still in the corn field of Iowa, presenting the 'root' music of America's rural population. We've been in several locations, Council Bluffs an"It's all about the music" Everhart stresses, "America's 'rural and mountain' music eventually became known as country music. Not much 'country' in today's music anymore, that's why we call it 'rural' music. We want people to know that we are the ones doing 'America's Roots Music,' and we also want America to know that some of the very finest 'roots music' entertainers, known around the world, will be present at our event this year.

Rural Rhythm Records Bean Blossom Live!
Following the success of the live recording in 2010 at Graves Mountain Festival, RURAL RHYTHM RECORDS has recorded another live festival album - this time during the 45th Annual Bill Monroe Memorial Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival.
This celebration album commemorates the 100th Anniversary of Bill Monroe's birth and is set for release later this year.
"My father was a major part of the Distribution team with Decca and MCA Records for over 30 years starting in the early 50's. Bill Monroe was a major part of the label's tremendous Country & Bluegrass roster through the years, so I literally grew up enjoying Bill's music and respecting the importance an impact he had on the music world."

Bluegrass Business is Good! Telluride Festival Officially SOLD OUT!
We've just been informed that this year's Telluride Bluegrass Festival, the 38th Annual - (June 16-19, 2011) - is now "Officially" completely sold-out. This is the earliest Telluride sell-out since the early '90s.
Back in early April we had some advance warnings a "Sell-Out" was extremely likely when Brian Eyster of Planet Bluegrass, primary organizer for the event, confirmed at that time that the festival had sold all its four-day passes, all its camping passes and all its limited single-day passes for Friday, June 17, Saturday, June 18, and Sunday, June 19.
