Rural Rhythm Records announces Rural Rhythm Records’ 55th Anniversary Celebration - The All-Star Jam Live at Graves Mountain Documentary is now exclusively airing on BlueHighways TV Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 12:00 pm ET and re-airing later this year.
The documentary is in celebration of the live album recording of the “The All-Star Jam Live at Graves Mountain" and includes live performances and short interviews with the participating artists that will give fans a chance to experience this festival as if they were there.
This special event was filmed and recorded during the Graves Mountain Festival of Music in Syria, Virginia in 2010 and . The album was produced by Mark Newton and recorded & mixed by the late Gene Daniell. It includes performances by: Lonesome River Band, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Audie Blaylock & Redline, Carrie Hassler, Mark Newton, Carl Jackson,The Crowe Brothers, Lou Reid & Carolina, and Brand New Strings.
The historic project picked up FOUR 2011 International Bluegrass Music Association(IBMA) nominations including Album of the Year.
It also received two nominations for Recorded Event of the Year - “Graves Mountain Memories” (featuring Carl Jackson, Mark Newton, Audie Blaylock, Lou Reid, Russell Moore, Carrie Hassler, Sammy Shelor, Mike Hartgrove, Wayne Benson, Mike Anglin, and produced by Mark Newton and Carl Jackson), and “Lonesome River,” for the top notch performance by Lou Reid & Carolina featuring Russell Moore.
The fourth nomination was for Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year for the song “Goundspeed,” written by Earl Scruggs and performed by Sammy Shelor, Carl Jackson Brandon Rickman, Wayne Benson, Mike Hartgrove, Mike Anglin, and produced by Mark Newton and Carl Jackson.
