Hyatt Music House–The Original Bluegrass JAM Site Being Demolished!

Since the late 1940s, Nelia and Wayne Hyatt of 627 Brevard Road in Ashville, NC invited bluegrass musicians to Jam at their home, thereby creating the first bluegrass jam tradition that has continued to this day.

In mid-summer reports that the home could be in jeopardy to make room for a automobile dealership began to surface.  Today the fears of many have become reality.  Demolition crews and heavy equipment operators were on the property.

Town Mountain Closes Out Asheville Concert Series

Asheville’s Red June Goes Back into the Studio

Red June is heading back into the studio in November to record their second full-length album after their debut recording, Remember Me Well, received great regional success.

Red June performing Callahan from their album, Remember Me Well, at the Broomfield Auditorium in Broomfield, CO. This tune was written by John's grandfather, legendary fiddler Jim Shumate.

Debut album Ravens & Crows drops August 2

REBEL RECORDS is proud to announce the signing of young Asheville, NC upstarts Dehlia Low to its stable of artists. The band recently wrapped up recording its label debut at Echo Mountain Studio in Asheville with producer Travis Book of the Grammy-nominated Infamous Stringdusters at the helm. The CD, entitled Ravens & Crows, will be available August 2nd.
