Nu Blu Pickers Pass Grass!

Nu Blu Wants To Share Their Grass

In their March Newsletter Nu Blu passed along the following statement:
"Pass the Grass" was originally developed as a clever way to brand Pinecastle Record's giveaways online.  Everyone in bluegrass would like the genre to grow and find new audiences. The easiest way to make this happen is to "Pass the Grass" to a friend who hasn't been exposed to quality bluegrass music.  We believe that it can become more than simply sharing music with friends.  We would like "Pass the Grass" to be a movement to help promote American heritage and culture surrounding the genre of bluegrass music.  We are working to develop PassTheGrass.org into a hub for our vision of what American roots are by sharing recipes, stories, music, and art."     -  Ethan Burkhardt, VP Operations, Pinecastle Records

In other Nu Blu News, the band's Levi Austin writes:
Our album is coming closer and closer to being finished every day, which is causing quite an exciting atmosphere in Red Squared Audio. Now that I am on spring break from Campbell University, we are spending countless hours creating the second-best product money can buy, the first being our new "Pass the Grass" t-shirts!  Check out the Nu-Blu Store to see me modeling the new shirt!"  -Levi Austin

More Bluegrass on your IPhone!

Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike are following suit and jumping on the Nu Blu initiated bandwagon.

Valerie just posted this note on her Facebook page:

Something very cool happened today, if itunes is available on your smart phone you should be able to install "valeriesmith" as an application on your phone. It has my up-to-date schedule and music...everything! I found a few things that I need to correct, but I am still amazed that it can be done! Give the credit to the great band, "Nu-Blu", they did it first! Very exciting news!
