Just in time for Bill Monroe's birthday, the new single release,
“A Light in My Window, Again” by CAROLINA ROAD, is now out to radio via Image634510834630844709AirplayDirect.com. 

The song was written by Tom T and Dixie Hall and was inspired by Gov. Paul E. Patton’s speech at the dedication of the Bill Monroe home place.

Brother/Sister [The Roys] Take Their Bluegrass to Larger Audiences!

Rural Rhythm recording artist, THE ROYS, are on tour promoting their hot new bluegrass album, LONESOME WHISTLE including their stellar performance this past weekend at the Image634471883415230000COUNTRY THUNDER festival in Wisconsin.
This coming weekend, THE ROYS head to the Blue Moon Mountain Bluegrass Festival in Prestonsburg, Kentucky where they will join fellow Rural Rhythm label mates:  Blue Moon Rising, Cumberland River, Carolina Road, and Josh Slone & CoalTown for what is surely to be an exciting event.

Another Prescription Bluegrass Clinic Goes World-Wide!

Tom Erickson, C.E.O. and General Manager for the K-JAZZ Radio Network serving Northern Arizona announced this week that the group of stations now feed the world-wide-web with their streaming 24 hours a day. 

That means that every Saturday night at 10pm Arizona Time or Sunday morning at 08:00 GMT, you can get your first weekly dose of Prescription Bluegrass or your refill if so desired.

Brian McNeal, host of Prescription Bluegrass says the K-JAZZ Network stations were the very first clinic to offer Prescription Bluegrass and now the entire planet can experience the same Auditory Therapy every Saturday night.

Fresh Air's Terry Gross returns today to interview Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings about their new CD, The Harrow and The Harvest.
..."We've kind of half-jokingly said that this record is 10 different kinds of sad," Welch tells Fresh Air's Terry Gross. ...
In some markets the show has already aired and will air tonight in other markets.

Gold Heart Sisters Launch Media Tour!

GOLD HEART live in concert on their Multi-Media Tour!

BluegrassPlanetEarth.com is the brainchild of  77 year-old Col. Tom Taylor a retired United States Airforce electronics engineer who said he spent so long in the service that he rose from a buck private to colonel before retirement.   As for his radio background, he's been a bluegrass and country music disc jockey for the past six years working at two stations prior to lauching his own just this week.  He's also been an Amateur Radio Operator (Ham Radio) for the last 15-20 years.
