Written by former Volume Five band member Colby Laney, the new project's first single, "Rich Man's Daughter"is a perfect example of what listeners have to look forward to with the band's next offering. Glen Harrell's voice soars perfectly with the minor-sounding melody in a way that just proves this band is a force to be reckoned with. "Just like the rest of the bluegrass world, I love these guys," states Mark Hodges of Mountain Fever Records.

Volume Five Announces New Recording!

Volume Five's new record "Children of the Mountain" is set for release in the next 6 weeks. It's another great project from a band of great guys. If you haven't had a chance to read BMP's article on them, you should.

Volume Five welcomes their newest member Mr. Patton Wages. Patton is one of the most sought after banjo players on the bluegrass circuit both in the studio and on the road and has played with several of the highest profile acts in this type of music. Patton is very excited and the band is tickled to death to have him.

Tid Bits From Mountain Fever Records

Ashlee Blankenship and Blades of Blue are extremely close to finishing her debut album, I've got to listen to some of this and Sammy has outdone himself as a producer on this.  So far there isn't a weak spot on the entire album.

Volume Five's new album Children of the Mountain is currently being mastered, we haven't hammered out a release date for the record, but I would bet on a fresh hot single coming your way in the very near future.

David Grindstaff's new band The Troubadours  started tracking this past weekend...

Sweet Potato Pie is scheduled to start tracking a new record in April...
