The International Bluegrass Music Association is accepting resumes for the position of Bookkeeper / Member Services Manager.
The position is based in Nashville, TN. Applicants should be proficient in Quickbooks with previous accounting or bookkeeping experience, however CPA credentials are not required.
Compensation will be based upon experience.

The fiddle is one of the key ingredients to The Short Mountain Brothers sound, without it there is a huge void.
The group, based out of West Virginia, is currently looking to add a new fiddle player - someone who is willing to travel around the east coast, has plenty of stage experience, at least 2 years of playing experience, harmony vocalist is a plus, but not a requirement, and must be willing to perform 2-3 nights a week.
In a letter sent to IBMA members via Email, Nancy Cardwell, Executive Director of the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) announced her resignation effective at the end of this year.
Ms. Cardwell began her tenure with the association twenty years ago as a staff member and was selected as Interim Director and then ultimately officially hired permanently for the position in 2012 when Dan Hays resigned.

Technology & Office Systems Manager Position Open at IBMA
The International Bluegrass Music Association is seeking a web applications developer to assist with development and maintenance of various systems.
Ellen Stanley, who has been the publicity and promotions contact for Red House Records for the last 8 plus years, has announced a career change.
Ellen has accepted a position with the Minnesota Music Coalition as Executive Director and will start her new job on April 30th.
Publicity and Promotions for the label will now be handled by the label’s Beth Friend on a temporary basis while they seek a replacement for Ellen.
Ellen says she plans to continue hosting her weekly radio program, WOMENFOLK on KFAI –Minneapolis/St.Paul as well as continuing with her songwriting and "Mother Banjo” dates.
Red House Records artists include such folks as Robin and Linda Williams, Tom Paxton, Pat Donahue, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot and many others.
Longtime IBMA staff member Jill Crabtree has given notice of intent to depart from the IBMA but she says not from Bluegrass. According to the press release sent out by the IBMA, her last day will be no later than July 1, 2013.
In her resignation letter Crabtree said,
“I care about the future of IBMA a great deal and hope the events will thrive in Raleigh, NC. The facilities, performances and other events planned for World of Bluegrass Week will certainly be something to see and the potential is exciting. But with any big change comes a need to approach things in a new manner. I feel the organization will benefit from the fresh perspective of someone who can assist the current IBMA leadership with their new set of goals. I’ve learned a great deal in my tenure at IBMA and want to thank everyone who has supported me over these past 13 years. My passion and support of the bluegrass music community will certainly continue.”
IBMA is now accepting applications for a full-time, Nashville-based staff member.The new Publications Editor & Special Projects Director will edit and write publications and press releases, manage content and promotion of BluegrassNation.org, manage professional development for IBMA members year round, and serve as a staff liaison with several committees.

The International Bluegrass Music Association ("IBMA") is looking for a very special person to serve as its Executive Director and chief of staff beginning no later than February 2012. The IBMA is a 501(c)(6) trade organization with approximately 2300 members, predominantly from the U.S, but also from Canada, Europe, Asia and Latin America. The organization is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee with offices on Music Row and has a support staff of 3 full-time employees, a 19 member Board of Directors with U.S and international members, and numerous committees and volunteers. The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Directors. The IBMA conducts and produces a number of the bluegrass music related programs and activities that can be reviewed on the IBMA website at: www.ibma.org.
